We are so excited to be taking a team to explore one of the most unique and remote places on the planet…the Galapagos Islands. This trip is designed to have minimal (mostly optional) hiking, but it will involve a bit of walking and quite a lot of time on boats in open ocean (those with a propensity toward motion sickness should bring medication).
This adventure will begin and end at Baltra Airport (GPS) on Santa Cruz Island. This is not a particularly easy place to get to, so do not be surprised when your travel from the States involve 3 or 4 flights and take up to 24 hours. You should expect flights to cost anywhere between $1000 and $1500 from major airports in the States. We are happy to help you arrange your travel if needed.
Cost: $2,950 (not including flights to Baltra Airport)
- A non-refundable $737.50 (25%) deposit is required at the time of registration to secure your spot on the team. Please read our Trip Cancellation and Refund policy before registering for your adventure.
- $1,475 (50%) is due October 15th, 2026
- $2,212.50 (75%) is due December 15th, 2026
- $2,950 (100%) is due February 15th, 2027
- We can work with each individual client to arrange a payment schedule that works for them.
- ***We are offering a $500 couples discount for the trip. Couples will pay $5,400 instead of $5,900.
What is included:
- Ground/sea transportation to and from Baltra Airport
- 6 nights of hotel stay (3 nights in Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island and 3 nights in Puerto Villamil on Isabel Island)

What is NOT included:
- You are required to purchase your own flights into and out of Baltra Airport (GPS).
- You are responsible for your own Galapagos Islands National Park Fees (~$200 payable on arrival)
Trek Difficulty: Minimal
We are offering an optional climb of Sierra Negra Volcano during our time on Isabel Island. The climb of the volcano is novice friendly, but still challenging. We expect the climb to take approximately 6 hours. Those choosing not to climb will have several options for how to spend that day in Puerto Villamil.
Itinerary:
Day 0/1 (Mar 13/14)
Depart the USA and fly to Baltra Aiport. This can be a surprisingly long travel involving as many as 4 flight segments. Once we arrive in the Galapagos, we will transfer from the airport to the town of Puerto Ayora where we will check in to our hotel and enjoy a relaxing day recovering from our travels.
Day 2 (Mar 15)
For our first day in country, we will tour the Darwin Research Station where we will encounter baby tortoises, take an outing into the highlands of Santa Cruz Island, and spend some time in Torguga Bay, an exceptional snorkeling location walkable from our hotels in Puerto Ayora. The white sand beaches of Tortuga Bay are legendary.
Day 3 (Mar 16)
We will get up early for our full day excursion to North Seymour Island. Our team will board a small yacht that will encircle the island and spend a few hours walking among the incredible wildlife. This will be a highlight of the adventure for many of us as we experience blue footed boobies and frigate birds as well as exceptional snorkeling opportunities. We will return to our team hotel in Puerto Ayora for dinner.
Day 4 (Mar 17)
We will be up early to catch a 2.5 hour ferry ride over to Isabel Island, which will be our home for the rest of the adventure. The ferry crossing is in open ocean and can be rough at times…prepare accordingly. Once we arrive on Isabel Island we will explore a flamingo lagoon, a tortoise breeding center, and enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the beach.
Day 5 (Mar 18)
We will get up early on this day to take on our (optional) climb of Sierra Negra Volcano. This is a challenging 7.5 mile climb that will take most of the day, but the views will be incredible. Those opting to skip the climb will have no shortage of potential activities for this day.
Day 6 (Mar 19)
We will have a snorkeling excursion to Los Tuneles, a stunning marine landmark on the south coast of Isabel Island. This unique feature was formed from the collapse of ancient volcanic streams leaving behind incredible arches and unique features. The shallow pools here afford opportunities to swim with reef sharks, sea turtles, and various kinds of rays. After our time at Los Tuneles, we will return to our team hotel for dinner.
Day 7 (Mar 20)
We will take the early morning ferry ride back over to Santa Cruz Island in order to catch our return flights to the States. Please do not book a flight before noon on this day.
Day 8 (Mar 21)
Travel back to the States.
