We are so excited to be bringing another team to explore Alaska. There really is no place in the world quite like Alaska, and it will be nearly impossible to build a better 6 day itinerary to encounter the very best parts of Alaska than the one we have built for this adventure. Our team will take a glacier cruise in Prince William Sound; ride a jetboat up the rapids in Devil’s Canyon; enjoy a sightseeing flight around the peak of Denali (optional); and spend a day learning about Alaskan dog sledding. We will enjoy great food throughout this adventure and we will spend each night in a hotel or airbnb.
We are happy to accommodate team members that wish to extend their trip by multiple days and/or add a cruise on either end of the adventure. We are happy to help you with your travel arrangements.
Dates: August 15-20, 2027
Team members will need to arrange their flights into Anchorage (ANC) to arrive at any point on Aug 15th and to depart from ANC in the evening of Aug 19th.
Cost: $3,550 per person
- A non-refundable 20% deposit ($710) is required at the time of registration to secure your spot on the team. Please read our Trip Cancellation and Refund policy before registering for your adventure.
- 50% ($1,775) is due April 15th
- Full trip payment ($3,550) is due June 15th
- We can work with each team member to arrange a payment schedule.
- We offer a $400 discount for couples joining the adventure. For example, a couple would pay $6,700 instead of $7,100 ($3,550 Xs 2 people – $400 discount)
What is included:
- All food throughout the duration of the adventure–a typical day’s menu will be light breakfast (bagels/cereal/oatmeal) or coffee shop food, sandwiches and snacks for lunch, and a restaurant meal for dinner. We will keep the airbnb stocked with snacks and drinks.
- 3 nights in an Airbnb in Anchorage and 1 night in an Airbnb in Talkeetna
- All ground transportation throughout the trip, including transfer to/from Anchorage International Airport
- 26 glacier cruise in Prince William Sound
- Jetboat adventure in Devil’s Canyon
- Dog Sled adventure
- Denali National Park entry fees
What is NOT included:
- Team members are responsible for their own flights to and from Anchorage
- Team members are responsible for their own Denali flightseeing flights in Talkeetna. We use K2 Aviation and flights range from $300-$700 depending upon the chosen options.
Trek Difficulty: Not Difficult
This is a novice friendly adventure. We have specifically built this adventure to be accommodating of people of nearly all fitness levels.
Itinerary:
Day 1 (Aug 15)
Team members will arrive in Anchorage and we will transfer to the team hotel/airbnb. Dinner will be included on this day. If you arrive early in the day, you will need to arrange your own lunch.
Day 2 (Aug 16)
We will travel early in the day by car to the town of Whittier where we will be embarking upon our 26 glacier cruise through Prince William Sound. We will cruise on a high speed catamaran that will get us incredibly close to the gorgeous glaciers and wildlife in the sound. A hot meal and coffee/tea are included. Other drinks and snacks are available for purchase. After the cruise, we will make our way back to Anchorage for a late dinner.
Day 3 (Aug 17)
We will drive to Seward to spend the day on a dog sledding adventure. We will play with sled dog puppies and then enjoy a ride through the woods on a cart pulled by authentic Alaskan sled dogs. After our time with the sled dogs, we will have lunch at a local restaurant and then spend a couple of hours exploring Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park. We will stop for a restuarant meal on the drive back to Anchorage.
Days 4 (Aug 18)
We will be up early to drive to the hamlet of Talkeetna where we will spend the day on a jet boat adventure to Devil’s Canyon. The jet boat will cover 120 miles of river and even spend some time pushing up into class 4 and 5 rapids. It is a very unique experience. After we finish our jet boat adventure, those choosing to do a Denali flightseeing will take their flights. Those who decide not to do the flight will spend a few hours exploring Talkeetna. The whole team will gather for dinner.
***Denali Flightseeing***
We partner with K2 Aviation for our Denali flightseeing. They offer a number of different flight options and you will need to book your flight directly with them. You will want to book one of their evening flights (no earlier than 3:30PM) on August 18th. They will require a 50% deposit at the time of booking. If they cannot do the flight because of weather (which happens reasonably often), you will receive a full refund of your deposit. We recommend booking your flight as soon as you pay your trip deposit.
Day 5 (Aug 19)
We have left the morning of Day 5 open. This leaves us some flexibility to allow for a rescheduled Denali flight if the weather is not good on Day 4. We could also arrange a short hike up to the summit of Curry Ridge, which has an excellent view of the Alaska range and Denali in good weather. We will have lunch in Talkeetna and then make our way back to Anchorage for our return flights. Please schedule your flights in the evening on this day.
Day 6 (Aug 20)
Evening flights from Anchorage will travel overnight, so you will arrive back at your destination on Day 6.
