After reflecting upon two decades of pastoral life and leading more than 125 short-term missionary outreaches to more than 50 countries, our founder Jimmy Shaw began to sense the Lord’s leading to launch a new project that would offer people a chance to take a few days away from their day to day life to experience the beauty of God’s creation and focus on personal growth and discipleship alongside a team of like minded individuals. This led to the founding of Discipletrek, an organization that offers faith-based adventure tours to some of the most spectacular locations on the planet.
Discipletrek strives to facilitate first class adventures that incorporate significant physical challenges. These adventures give our participants an opportunity experience the satisfaction of overcoming fears and achieving life long goals as they train for and work to realize their biggest dreams.
All of our adventures are led by Discipletrek founder Jimmy Shaw. This allows us to give each team member the individual attention they deserve. We pride ourselves in our ability to customize each adventure to the unique needs and abilities of our team members from the time they sign up, through the process of their training, and while they are away on the adventure itself.
